How to use the Pantone 2018 color of the year in your wedding.
If you didn’t already know what the color of the year is…. ( DRUM ROLL ) it’s Ultra Violet.
Vibrant and bold, Pantone says this about the color: “Nuanced and full of emotion, the depth of PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet symbolizes experimentation and non-conformity, spurring individuals to imagine their unique mark on the world, and push boundaries through creative outlets.” So if you want to get in on the Ultra Violet trend for your wedding, we think including this color in your palette is ideal for the bride who is a little quirky and out-of-the-box. She who wants to try something new, or has a particularly creative side to her. But fear not! You don’t have to be a boundary-pushing bride to incorporate this happy hue into your wedding! Here’s a round up of some of our favorite ways we’ve already seen it done, to inspire you for the upcoming year.
Here are some ways you can include this color in your special day.
Cake – You don’t need your baker to bake you a violet cake. You can add details such as violet flowers or violet ribbon to your cake.
Bouquet – Have your florist arrange a bouquet with many violet tones throughout your bouquet. Or add a violet ribbon to your floral arrangement.
Invitations – Use violet print or a design with violet coloring. Another option would be to hire a calligraphist and have them use violet ink for addressing the invitations envelopes.
Bridesmaids – Choose one color or a range of violet dresses for your bridesmaids. Include violet in their bouquets or use this color in their accessories.
Groomsmen – Choose a dashing violet tie and include a violet flower for their boutineers.
Centerpieces – Be creative with your centerpieces, include violet floral or use it in the ink of the table numbers.
