When Emerald was named the Pantone Color of the year for 2013, we have to admit it made us a little nervous. Visions of shamrock weddings and super corny decor were swirling in our minds. But the more we embraced the possibilities of this gorgeous rich hue the more we fell in love with it. And with the release of the Great Gatsby in 2013 we fell in love with the possibilities of Emerald even more. Adding the rich contrast of gold and black just take this hue to a whole new level.
For this styled shoot, Middle Aisle did an amazing job about bringing in lots of glamorous details and sparkle galore. We are absolutely swooning over the green sequined linen and the place settings in beautiful gold with touches of black and white just pop! The tiny touches add a big affect too from the gold elephant place card holders, to the striped napkins, to all the amazing paper details…each detail just adds that extra touch of glamour and WOW! We love the way that the invitation suite by Jacki Miller Design sets the tone for the whole set up and there is no better way to introduce your guests to your wedding style than to have a coordinating wedding invitation. Its like their first sneak peek to your big day.
We also have to give a big shout out to all the other amazing vendors who participated in this styled shoot. We love the all white floral from Bloomers and the way it adds the perfect contrast and softness to the bold tablescape. The gold lined cake from Sweet Cakes by Karen couldn’t be more perfect! And of course what shoot would be complete without a gorgeous bride, and Julie Thomas Style did an amazing job on her hair and makeup. Definitely brings in that old world glam to the shoot that we were aiming for.
