When I married the man of my dreams not so long ago, because we were busy college students getting married over winter break was essential. Back then I had always dreamed of a fall wedding, I honestly think because I loved the part in Runaway Bride when she finally got hitched on the mountain top surrounded by gorgeous fall colors and leaves. Instead, we got married on a beautiful snowy day. But, if I had a chance to walk down the aisle and make it official with my hubby again, I would undoubtedly want a sun-drenched beach location filled with classic, romantic, clean details.
Whoever said only the bride should wear white would probably gasp at my dream wedding because I would want everything white. From the dress to the decor, the linens, the lighting, there just cannot be enough of my favorite color. I aboslutely love white. But to give the wedding some texture and bring in that romantic feel I would definitely want some soft touches of gold, champagne, pink, peach and mint.
Another thing that would be absolutely essential to my dream wedding would be lighting. Perfect lighting sets the tone for romance and with an outdoor wedding, especially one on the beach with only moonlight and stars to rely on, gorgeous lighting is an absolute necessity.
When I think about my dream wedding dress there are a few things that would be an absolute must. Simplicity is #1. My actual wedding dress was very simple and that is definitely a detail I wouldn’t change. But I would have loved to have a dress with pockets, a more flowy skirt for walking along the beach, and a more classic cut. My Pinterest “Dream Wedding” board is filled with a handful of gorgeous dresses that I just fell in love with, but this Crepe De Chine Gown by BHLDN is absolutely stunning. And I could totally see myself dancing under the stars in this.
One of my favorite details of my actual wedding was that I had a 7-tier wedding cake. It was taller than me! And I absolutely loved it. I am a huge fan of cake and goodies in general, so that would dfinitely be something that I would want to keep with this time around. But instead of one gigantic cake, I envision a gorgeous display of mini-cakes all with a different flavor. Doesn’t that just sound delish? And of course each cake would have to have its own unique design and look. Here are just a few that I fell in love with . . .

I’ve found some beautifull choices for floral, table details, and much more . . . but even with all the things I might change about the details of the day, there is one thing I would never change . . . the man I chose. Oh how I love that guy!
