Today we are excited to feature a dreamy engagement session from AK Studio & Design!
Hailey and Tanner are seriously my favorites. They are the most wonderful couple and I am so excited for their upcoming wedding! These two are total adventurer seekers and are always off somewhere amazing so we thought it would only be fitting to make a trip down south and do their engagement session in Zion. Don’t you just love how these turned out!?
I thought it might be fun too with this session to share a little bit about how they met…
“I first saw Tanner at my little sister’s mission farewell party. But we didn’t get the chance to talk, let alone introduce ourselves. Honestly, I thought nothing of it.
A few weeks later, I was riding my bike to BYU campus for class up a long steep hill when I heard someone yell “Hailey!” I stopped and turned around to see a tall, handsome, smiling guy walking towards me. He looked familiar but at the moment I could NOT remember how I knew him or what his name was. How embarrassing! He was nice and reintroduced himself to me and we both went our ways and headed to class.
A few days later he called me and asked if I’d like to go skiing at Sundance. Of course I said yes and after a day of being on the ski slopes, we both knew we were interested in seeing where things went.
Fast forward a few months…it was December 29th of 2016 and we had plans to go snow shoeing up in Park City. We frequently did fun, spontaneous, and adventurous things so this was nothing out of the ordinary. Together we hiked the 3 miles in the snow to a beautiful spot overlooking Park City.
We were taking in the view when he turned towards me, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I was TOTALLY surprised! I had known for a long time that I wanted to marry him so my answer was easy…Yes! It’s crazy for me to think that the guy I saw at my sister’s farewell who stopped me on the bike path will be the guy I end up marrying. We couldn’t be happier or more excited!”
Cutest story! Hope you enjoy their engagement images as much as I did!
